James B. Shipp, MD

Dr. James Shipp is a native Mississippian, having grown up in Corinth, Mississippi. Upon graduation from Ole Miss, Dr. Shipp attended The University of Mississippi Medical School, where he then completed an ophthalmology residency. While at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Dr. Shipp served as Senior and Chief Resident. From 2012 to 2014, Dr. Shipp was associated with Augusta Eye Clinic in Augusta, Georgia, while his wife completed her residency in dermatology.

Outside of work, Dr. Shipp enjoys many activities, including travelling, sports, and spending time with his family. He has been an avid Ole Miss Rebels fan since birth and has attended sporting events his entire life. Dr. Shipp also has an adventurous spirit, enjoying piloting airplanes and pursuing outdoor activities, including summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro. He is married to Lyndsay Shipp, MD, a dermatologist practicing at Oxford Dermatology. When not at work, they can be found spending time with their four children and dog.
